Description
The Give Forward was made aware of Annapoorana Mohan, a primary school teacher in Kandhadu Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, India, who had sold her gold jewelry to raise funds for underprivileged students. The Give Forward raised money to help provide Ms. Mohan with various books including an Oxford dictionary; Tamil, math and English remedial book sets; and a handwriting guide for 150 students to provide the resources necessary to support both the teachers and students. The Give Forward also worked to arrange for an educational trip to Ooty for the students.
